Our commitment

Pink Flamingo wants everyone to be able to browse and shop at pink-flamingo.gr, including people with disabilities and people who use assistive technologies such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice control or keyboard-only navigation. This statement applies to the website pink-flamingo.gr in English and in Greek (/el/).

Standard we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, which are also the basis of the European standard EN 301 549 for the accessibility of websites.

Conformance status

The website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA: some parts do not yet fully meet the standard. A full accessibility audit is pending; we will update this statement when it has been completed.

What we have done

  • The website was rebuilt in 2026 with accessibility in mind: page landmarks and a logical heading structure, sufficient colour contrast, a visible keyboard focus, touch targets of at least 44 pixels and the correct language (English or Greek) declared on every page.
  • Product and page images have text alternatives, and forms have labels.
  • Pages are checked with automated accessibility tests (axe) and by hand with a keyboard at mobile and desktop sizes.

Known limitations

  • Some older product photos may lack a meaningful text alternative, and some product descriptions are available only in English.
  • Content provided by third parties, such as the card payment page of Alpha Bank (Nexi), PayPal’s pages and the cookie consent banner, is not under our full control and may not meet all requirements.

Accessibility toolbar

The website also offers an accessibility toolbar (Ally), which lets you adjust text size, contrast and other display settings. It is an extra aid for visitors who find it useful; it does not replace the accessible design of the website itself, and our conformance status above does not rely on it.
